Trade Waste

We have extensive experience in installing and maintaining industrial trade waste systems to ensure the effective operation of your business. To ensure businesses operate at maximum efficiency and to avoid costly shutdowns, preventative maintenance programs are essential. We work with businesses to develop maintenance and testing programs (eg. backflow testing).

Woods Plumbing facilitates all testing, maintenance and reports directly to the governing water authorities on your behalf.

Backflow Prevention

Backflow prevention devices are used to protect the water supply from contamination or pollution. When
pressure fails or is reduced, as may happen in a burst water pipe, the pressure in the pipe may reduce and may allow contaminated water into potable water systems. The installation of a backflow device on a waterline that people will consume (where there is a risk of contamination) has the potential to be contaminated, this backflow device will protect the water and make it safe for consuming.

TMV Testing + Maintenance

A thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) is a valve that blends hot water with cold water to ensure constant, safe shower and bath outlet temperatures, preventing scalding.

In most cases, testing and certification of these devices on an annual basis is a legal requirement.
Woods Plumbing has the qualifications & experience to manage all your backflow & TMV testing and maintenance requirements in accordance with local, NSW & Australian standards.
